Job summary

Austin Health in Melbourne's north-eastern suburbs is seeking enthusiastic Medical Practitioners to join our Junior Medical Workforce as an HMO3 General. Commencing February 2027 or when available for 2026, with an Enterprise Agreement: Doctors in Training (2022-2026).

Austin Health is a major training service for doctors at all stages, offering rotations across Critical Care, General, Medical and Surgical streams, with opportunities for further vocation and specialty training.

Qualifications

• Be registered (or able to be registered) with AHPRA.
• Be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care.
• Be dedicated to teaching, training and developing strong, well-functioning teams.
• Be able to provide a current Working with Children check.

Responsibilities

• Participate in admission, management and safe discharge of patients under supervision.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied staff to provide safe, quality care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnosis and treatment options.
• Liaise with general practitioners and other staff involved in patient care.
