Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking an experienced HME Boilermaker for a major mining project near Nyngan, NSW. You will perform structural repairs, fabrication and maintenance across heavy mining equipment, including excavators and haul trucks. FIFO from Brisbane with a 7/7 roster, camp accommodation and meals provided.

You will join a skilled maintenance team on a long-term project, working to safety and quality standards and contributing to planned shutdowns and component rebuilds.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker.
• Previous experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Strong experience with bucket, tray and structural repairs.
• Experience with welding, gouging and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Mining or heavy earthmoving experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Structural repairs and fabrication on heavy mining equipment.
• Bucket, tray and wear package repairs.
• Welding, air arc gouging and other hot work.
• Crack repairs and structural repairs to HME components.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces where required.
• Inspecting damage, identifying repair requirements and completing quality repairs.
• Supporting planned maintenance, shutdowns and component rebuilds.
• Working safely and efficiently in line with site and manufacturer standards.
