Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming rural school in Ashburton, Devon. The role focuses on providing targeted support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, working closely with teachers to help pupils progress.

The successful candidate will deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions, build positive relationships and support academic, social and emotional development in a calm, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small-group support.
• Experience with EHCP outcomes.
• Patient, empathetic and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication needs and additional learning needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and support learning in line with EHCP outcomes.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Support and deliver learning activities when required.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and encourage confidence and independence.
