Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Design Manager – Highways in Sydney to lead and deliver major highway projects. You will manage stakeholders, drive design and construction interfaces, and oversee multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, geotechnical, and digital disciplines.

The role requires strong leadership, design management expertise, and a track record of delivering complex transport infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Proven ability to manage complex design interfaces and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of highway projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and close-out.
• Engage with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams for alignment and timely decisions.
• Administer contracts, manage compensation events, and ensure budget control.
