Job summary

AECOM in Perth, WA seeks a Highway Designer (OpenRoads) to design and model development for complex roadway projects, producing high quality geometric and corridor designs using ORD. You will contribute from concept through detailed design while supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment with MRWA standards and Austroads guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years' experience in road and highway design.
• Advanced proficiency in OpenRoads Designer.
• Experience delivering projects for Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA).
• Strong understanding of MRWA Road Design Guidelines and Austroads Guide to Road Design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop road and highway infrastructure using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed design deliverables for highways, intersections, local roads and major transport projects.
• Produce alignments, corridors, cross-sections, earthworks models and design documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with MRWA standards, Austroads guidelines and relevant Australian Standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drainage, structures, traffic and utilities.
• Participate in design reviews, quality assurance and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Support BIM and digital engineering requirements.
