Job summary

AECOM Perth highway team is seeking a skilled drafting professional to contribute to major transport projects. You will deliver highways design, produce drawings and models, and mentor peers on digital design workflows.

With 2–6 years’ highway drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D (with exposure to MicroStation/OpenRoads), you’ll work in a hybrid Perth setup within a broad ANZ technical network.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years’ experience in highway or road infrastructure drafting.
• Solid skills in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with exposure to MicroStation or OpenRoads.
• Good understanding of highway geometry and drafting standards.
• Experience to AustRoads, Main Roads WA or similar Australian standards is advantageous.
• Qualifications in Civil Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highways design across transport infrastructure projects, including civil arrangements, geometric design, signage, and safety barriers.
• Produce high‑quality drawings and models in line with RPDM, AustRoads and client standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to design team members, including mentoring on digital design tools.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design inputs across projects.
• Support BIM and digital engineering tools to enhance design coordination and project delivery.
