Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Civil Drafter to join our Roads team in Perth, WA. You will deliver high‑quality drafting outputs for major road projects and work closely with engineers to ensure fast, accurate packages aligned with MRWA standards.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in road infrastructure, strong AutoCAD capabilities, and a proactive approach to mentoring junior drafters to uplift drafting standards across the group.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in major road infrastructure projects.
• Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with drafting automation is a plus.
• Solid understanding of MRWA or equivalent national road authority drafting standards.
• Experience delivering drawing packages for road projects in metro or regional WA.
• Mentoring experience and a drive to uplift drafting standards across a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality drafting outputs for road infrastructure projects in WA.
• Apply AutoCAD skills and support automation initiatives to drive efficiency and quality.
• Produce drawings aligned with MRWA requirements and current drafting standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver fast, reliable drawing packages with minimal supervision.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior drafters to uplift team capability.
• Support bids, resource planning, and workflow coordination as the portfolio grows.
• Contribute to building a scalable drafting function with potential leadership opportunities.
