Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large payroll function on a 6-month contract in Sydney. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and involves end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand.

You will support daily payroll delivery, handle high-volume processing, timesheets, deductions and changes, and collaborate with the Payroll and Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely pay runs and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to process high-volume payroll accurately and on time.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, payroll tax and STP/ATO reporting.

Responsibilities

• Processing high-volume payroll accurately and within deadlines.
• Managing end-to-end payroll activities.
• Processing timesheets, adjustments, allowances, deductions and payments.
• Managing new starters, changes and terminations within the payroll system.
• Reviewing payroll data and investigating discrepancies prior to pay runs.
• Responding to payroll queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Processing superannuation and supporting payroll tax requirements.
• Supporting STP and ATO reporting.
• Working with awards/EBAs and payroll legislation.
• Maintaining accurate employee and contractor payroll records.
• Supporting end-of-year payroll activities.
• Working with payroll systems, timesheet platforms and integrations.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues.
