Ambition Recruitment is partnering with a well-established international organisation in the Sydney CBD to hire a Payroll Specialist. You will own the fortnightly payroll for about 190 staff across Australia and New Zealand within a hands-on HR team.

The role requires 4+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, strong Australian payroll knowledge and advanced Excel skills. This permanent position offers $90,000-$100,000 plus super in Sydney CBD.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' end-to-end payroll experience.
• Strong Australian payroll knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Payroll tax and compliance experience.
• NZ payroll experience advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.
• Polished, professional stakeholder engagement.
• Positive, proactive team contributor.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end fortnightly payroll across Australia & New Zealand.
• Process salaries, casual wages, commissions and incentive payments.
• Manage timesheets, overtime and employee changes.
• Payroll tax, STP, superannuation and statutory compliance.
• New starters, terminations and leave entitlements.
• Month-end reporting and payroll reconciliations.
• Assist with EOFY processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing manual processes.
• Provide ad hoc support to the wider HR team.
