Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Operations professional in Australia to lead electrical safety and compliance across wind assets and substations. The role covers installation, testing, maintenance, and supporting operations teams with technical leadership on HV/LV systems.

Qualifications

• Australian electrical License – A grade or state equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience HV operator with up-to-date training.
• HV and LV operations experience; ability to read electrical schematics.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Valid Australian Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development/review of compliance plans for electrical contracting in each State and territory.
• Monitor licenses for GE Renewable Energy and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assume responsibilities of the High Voltage Operator for ANZ when needed.
• Oversee HV safety procedures and operations across service and project sites.
• Develop, coordinate and implement competency programs for HV switching.
• Support electrical safety and operational switching procedures at wind farm sites.
• Maintain electrical training program including LOTO support.
• Support regional EHS in auditing electrical safety, training and maintenance activities.
• Review contractor licenses and ensure compliance for the intended State of work.
• Implement isolation schedules, lock boxes, HV permitting and HV operations.
• Institute electrical testing programs across infrastructure in consultation with Engineering.
• Provide technical advice, audits, commissioning and installation support for HV products.
• Conduct regular site electrical audits for HV safety compliance.
• Act as technical nominee or HV Ops delegate on projects as required.
