Job summary

Amazon LEO is looking for a High Speed Digital Design Engineer to own high-speed interfaces (DDR, Ethernet, SerDes) for next‑gen terminals. You will drive component selection, schematic capture, SI simulation, and lab validation across hardware, silicon and systems teams to deliver robust, cost-optimized designs for high-volume manufacturing.

Role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in high-speed digital design, and proficiency with Orcad/Allegro.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years in high-speed digital interface design and/or SI simulation/validation.
• Experience with CAD tools such as Orcad and Allegro.

Responsibilities

• Select and qualify high-speed interface components balancing performance, cost, availability, and manufacturability.
• Own schematic capture for high-speed digital subsystems with defined net topologies and interface pin assignments.
• Lead signal integrity analysis for DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and MIPI from architecture to production.
• Perform channel modeling and simulation using EM tools to verify interconnect performance.
• Participate in schematic/layout reviews, providing SI/PI feedback.
• Validate interfaces in lab using oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and high-fidelity probing.
• Collaborate with silicon, RF, antenna, thermal, mechanical, power and systems teams.
• Support board bring-up, debug and root-cause analysis; support production ramp.
