Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Hardware Engineer to own PCBA development from concept to production, designing and optimizing high-speed digital circuitry and coordinating with cross-functional teams. You will lead schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and vendor engagements to ensure cost-effective, reliable boards.

You will generate test plans, perform board bring-up, and contribute to automated test systems while supporting a smooth transition to production within a cutting-edge satellite payload

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years in mixed-signal PCBA design
• 3+ years using schematic tools (Mentor Xpedition, OrCAD, or Altium)
• 2+ years using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)
• 1+ years in high-speed digital design (SERDES, Ethernet, PCIe)

Responsibilities

• Own PCBA development from concept through production
• Design and optimize electronics sub-systems blocks
• Lead schematic capture and PCB layout reviews
• Lead PCB vendor engagement for DFM review
• Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost
• Generate test plans and procedures from requirements
• Complete board bring-up and test campaigns
• Design automated test systems and fixtures
• Support transition to production
