Job summary

Montessori Care is seeking an experienced High Intensity Disability Support Worker to join a stable care team for an NDIS participant in Wattle Grove, NSW. The role involves intimate personal care and high-intensity clinical supports, with a clear pathway to permanent part-time or full-time for the right candidates.

You’ll work closely with the family, following routines and preferences while maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-intensity/complex care disability supports (in-home, SIL, hospital discharge or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to engage with clients and families.
• Current certifications listed in role requirements (First Aid, CPR, WWCC, Police Check).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and high-intensity clinical supports to an NDIS participant.
• Work closely with the family to follow routines and preferences.
• Operate within a structured roster in a coordinated care team.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced High Intensity Disability Support Worker to join a stable, coordinated care team supporting an NDIS participant in the Wattle Grove area. The role involves personal care and high-intensity clinical supports, so current training and experience in complex care is essential. This role offers a structured roster within a well-managed, supportive team.

You’ll work closely with the participant’s family, keeping them informed and following their guidance on routines and preferences.

Due to the intimate personal care involved, and in line with participant choice and control, this role is open to female applicants only.

About You

To be successful in the role, you’ll need:

• NSW Driver’s Licence and your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, Police Check, First Aid & CPR
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability/Ageing/Home & Community) or equivalent (high regarded)
• Demonstrated 2+ years’ experience in high-intensity/complex care disability supports (in-home, SIL, hospital discharge or similar)
• Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs (highly regarded)
• A warm, friendly and engaging nature, with the ability to build connection through conversation, play and non-verbal communication
• A calm, patient approach and comfort following the family’s lead and established care routines
• Manual Handling and Behaviour Support training

Please note: this is not a general support worker position. We require applicants with hands‑on, demonstrated HIDPA (High Intensity Daily Personal Activities) experience across at least 3 of the following:

• Tracheostomy care (care and observation, not tube changes)
• Suctioning (tracheal, oral and nasal)
• Severe dysphagia and mealtime management (soft and pureed diets)
• Medication assistance
• Ceiling hoists and safe manual handling
