Job summary

Montessori Care is seeking a Disability Support Worker to assist NDIS participants on the Central Coast. This casual role supports independence, social and emotional needs, and daily living tasks, with hands‑on experience in behavioural support management highly valued.

Note: applications from female workers are preferred. Requirements include NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR, a valid NSW driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

About the Role

You will work directly with NDIS participants who require support that enhances their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. This role involves behavioural support management, so candidates must have hands-on experience in this area.

Note: Due to participant preferences and nature of personal care involved in this role, we are seeking applications from female support workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual handling and hoisting to assist with transfers and mobility

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in disability, aged care, or community support (preferred)
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
• Commitment to promoting client dignity and independence
• Experience with autism and dementia
• Experience with personal care
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid & CPR Certification (current)
• Valid NSW Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
