Job summary

Williamstown North Primary School is seeking a classroom teacher to plan, prepare and deliver programs aimed at achieving specific student outcomes. The role requires reflective practice, collaboration with colleagues and active engagement with the school community to support wellbeing and learning growth.

The classroom teacher will contribute to school policy development, mentor student teachers and use data to drive instructional decisions in line with departmental priorities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum with literacy and numeracy integration.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum programs within the school.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
