Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy while responding to student learning needs.
• Experience planning/high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact on student learning growth.
• Experience monitoring/assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching practice.
• Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other teaching-related and organizational duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Engage in policy development, project teams and school improvement initiatives.
