Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is seeking an experienced Hi-Rail Excavator Operator to support maintenance and civil works across the Victorian network. You will operate Hi-Rail Excavators, dump trucks and front-end loaders within a safety-focused team, undertaking undercutting, track formation and upgrades across multiple sites.

You must have railway mobile plant experience, current Rail Industry Worker competencies, and a valid driver's licence (HR or above preferred).

Qualifications

• Previous operational experience with mobile plant in a railway environment.
• Current Rail Industry Worker competencies.
• HR licence or above is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Victoria and work away from home.
• Rostered 9 days on, 5 days off as required.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Hi-Rail Excavator Operator to join our growing team delivering critical rail infrastructure projects across the ARTC Victorian network. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a skilled and safety-focused crew on a variety of rail maintenance and civil works projects in a dynamic field-based environment.

As a Hi-Rail Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in the delivery of maintenance and construction works across the rail corridor. Responsible for specialised plant and equipment including Hi Rail Excavators, Dump Trucks, Front-End Loaders. Work will include,

• Undercutting operations
• Formation and track upgrades

What do we want from you?

• Operational experience with mobile plant within a railway environment
• Current Rail Industry Worker competencies
• Current Driver's Licence, with HR licence or above highly regarded
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekend work as required
• Willingness to travel and work away from home, approximately 70% of your time working away from home, travelling throughout Victoria.
• Be able to work 9 days on and 5 days off roster.
