Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking dedicated Community Support Professionals to provide high-quality in-home care across the Sunshine Coast region. You will support participants with daily living, meals, and transport, while building genuine relationships.

Ideal candidates hold Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, with First Aid/CPR and a current Australian driver's licence. Flexible hours and ongoing training are offered to help you make a real difference in your local community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (mandatory).
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Smartphone with internet access for rostering and notes.

Responsibilities

• Personal care for participants.
• Meal preparation or assistance.
• Manual handling (desirable).
• Light domestic duties: cleaning, laundry, meals.
• Medication assistance (desirable).
• Social support and transport to maintain community ties.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress each shift.
• Support participants with complex needs.
• Assist daily living and capacity-building routines.
• Engage with participants and avoid rostered task focus.

We are looking for dedicated Qualified and Experienced Community Support Professional to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high-quality in-home support services to our valued customers.

About us:

Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community. Our friendly, compassionate and experienced team makes this possible. We are based on the Sunshine Coast and have participants and SIL's from Bribie Island to Bundaberg.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Personal care
• Meal Preparation or assistance
• Manual handling (desired)
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Medication assistance (desired)
• Social support and Transportation to maintain community connection
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress every shift
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Assisted daily living and Capacity-building routines
• Genuinely interest in supporting people to achieve their goals & actively engaging with participants rather than completing rostered tasks

About you:

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
• Reliable & Attentive
• Assisted daily living and Capacity-building routines
• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
• Comfortable using technology (i.e.mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording progress notes/feedback
• Understanding that Health & Wellbeing changes and keep up-to date on ever changing care plans
• Ability to take Initiative & have a Proactive approach to in-home care

What you will need:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Mandatory)
