Job summary

Direct Couriers Pty Ltd is seeking an entry-level IT Help Desk professional to support more than 350 users across Australia and New Zealand. You will troubleshoot desktop issues, assist with software and network problems, and deliver friendly, professional service.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will gain mentorship from leading IT professionals and develop skills in a logistics-focused tech environment. Immediate start in Sydney, full-time hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Holder of a Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies or actively gaining related IT experience.
  • Solid Windows operating systems knowledge and basic networks understanding.
  • Familiarity with JSON/XML data interchange formats is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and standard desktop software.
  • Strong communication, listening and written skills for customer interactions.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pace and pressure.
  • Detail oriented with a proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support over 350 users across Australia and New Zealand with desktop issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and timely ticket resolution.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting of software and network related problems.
  • Receive mentoring from IT professionals to grow your career.

Our Help Desk & IT Support may suit a recent school leaver or junior looking for an exciting IT career within logistics/transport.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will assist with the support of over 350 users within Australia and New Zealand through providing exceptional customer service to assist with user desktop support, remote troubleshooting of software/network related issues, resolving tickets in a fast, friendly, and professional manner, whilst being mentored by our leading-edge IT professionals to grow your career.

What you need is:

To be successful, the ideal applicant will have the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Commenced or looking to study a Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies or gaining experience in a related IT field
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows family of Operating Systems
  • Understanding of data interchange formats such as JSON and XML
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Basic understanding of networks and networking
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, written, listening and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workloads effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Resilience, passion and ability to work at pace and under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and take on responsibilities
