Job summary

McDermott Aviation, Australia’s largest privately owned helicopter operator, is seeking qualified LAMEs and AMEs for multiple full-time and casual positions to support the maintenance and airworthiness of our operational helicopter fleet. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring serviceability, and completing documentation accurately.

You will work with experienced teams and contribute to high safety and regulatory standards across domestic and international

Qualifications

• CASA B1.3 licence, NZCAA licence, or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of civil aviation regulations and compliance requirements.
• FAA A&P Licence desirable but not essential.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an ASIC.
• Ability to successfully complete DAMP testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure aircraft serviceability and operational availability.
• Conduct maintenance in accordance with OEM, regulatory and company-approved data.
• Complete maintenance certification and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Report defects, damage and maintenance issues in accordance with company procedures.
• Liaise with Operations and the Director of Maintenance as required.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and professionalism.
• Provide guidance and support to team members under your supervision.

Position Summary

Minimum Requirements

• CASA B1.3 Licence, NZCAA Licence, or equivalent (or working towards CASA licence recognition)
• Sound knowledge of civil aviation regulations and compliance requirements
• FAA A&P Licence desirable but not essential
• Relevant industry experience
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an ASIC
• Ability to successfully complete DAMP testing
