The Brown and Hurley Group in Coffs Harbour is seeking a heavy vehicle technician to diagnose faults and service and repair Kenworth and DAF trucks. You will work across diagnostics, maintenance, rebuilds and breakdowns, supporting apprentices and fellow workshop staff in a busy, safety‑focused environment.

Ideal candidates have a heavy vehicle mechanic qualification, a sound safety record, good communication and problem‑solving skills, and a current car licence.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle mechanic qualification or other mechanic qualification.
• Works safely, team player, excellent communicator and problem-solver.
• Car licence; HR and forklift licence desirable.
• Kenworth or DAF experience desirable.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose faults
• Carry out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work (to your own capability)
• Check own work to ensure it is carried out to the manufacturers’ requirements
• Help train apprentices and assist other workshop personnel
• Complete job cards correctly
• Participate in the on-call roster and attend offsite breakdowns
• Provide exceptional and professional customer service
