Job summary

Rover Coaches in Cessnock is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our depot team. You will diagnose, inspect, recondition and repair our fleet, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to Rover Coaches standards.

You will maintain vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines, respond to breakdowns, and communicate safety or maintenance issues clearly. MR or HR licence is preferred, and we value proactive, team‑oriented individuals committed to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles.
• Maintain safety standards and company policies.
• Solid verbal and written communication.
• Experience working in a team on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
• Be proactive with a drive to continuously improve and adapt in a growing team.
• MR or HR driver's licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Rover Coaches standards are followed at all times.
• Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
• Attend breakdowns and carry out field related mechanical repairs.
• Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues.
• Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties.
