Job summary

Busways is seeking an experienced Mechanic to lead daily fleet maintenance at the Kincumber Depot. You will diagnose, repair and service a diverse range of vehicles, uphold Busways standards, and ensure safety across all tasks.

You will work within a team, participate in ongoing training, and benefit from a supportive workplace that values quality and development. A current Australian drivers licence is required.

Qualifications

• Hold trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
• Certificate III in commercial vehicle or light vehicle tech is preferred; 4–5 years post-apprenticeship experience this role values.
• Experience in service and maintenance of vehicles with WHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, recondition and repair fleet vehicles while ensuring safety and Busways standards.
• Maintain all company vehicles and assets per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform maintenance work according to procedures and attend breakdowns as needed.
• Communicate safety or maintenance issues clearly and promptly.
• Contribute to a safe, clean workshop and assist with ad-hoc duties as directed.
