Job summary

AGA in Shepparton is offering a First or Second year Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanical Apprenticeship in a hands-on workshop. You will be mentored and educated to complete a Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology over four years, with full support from a dedicated Employment Consultant and a matched host employer.

Ideal candidates are motivated, with a positive attitude, good communication and teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s Licence preferable.
• Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Commitment to undertaking this 4-year apprenticeship.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and stay hands-on.
• Physically fit and enjoys practical work.

Responsibilities

• Be trained in all aspects of Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics.
• Servicing tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements.
• Brake inspection and replacement.
• Fault diagnosis and mechanical diagnostics.
• Field service and workshop health and safety.
