National Transport Company in Villawood seeks Diesel Mechanics for our workshop to maintain trucks, trailers and equipment in the general freight, container and tanker fleet.

The role involves repairs, servicing, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and attending breakdowns as needed. A pathway to supervisory roles exists; immediate start with full-time, permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current car license; heavy vehicle license is a plus.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults.
• Experience with gearbox repairs and servicing.
• Understanding NHVAS requirements and Australian Truck Safety Standards.

Responsabilités

• Perform repairs, servicing and testing on company vehicles, trailers and equipment per schedule.
• Undertake diagnostic and preventative maintenance initiatives.
• Attend breakdowns as required.
• Assist workshop manager and fellow team members.

National Transport Company requires Diesel Mechanics for our Villawood Workshop.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of diesel mechanics are responsible for the professional maintenance and repairs of trucks, trailers and equipment in the general freight, container and tanker fleet.

The successful applicant will be responsible for;

• Repairs, servicing and testing to company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per company service schedule
• Diagnostic and preventative maintenance and initiatives
• Attend breakdowns (where required)
• Assist workshop manager and fellow team members

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience;

• Carlicenseas a minimum however a heavy vehicle license would be advantageous
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults
• Previous gearbox, general repairs and servicing duties experience
• Demonstrate a willingness to undertake general repairs within thedepot andwash bays.
• Understanding of NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian Truck Safety Standards.
• Roadsideexperience.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.
• Motivated and team orientated
• Medically fit and prepared toUndertake a pre-employmentmedical withdrug & alcohol screening.

The right candidate may have the opportunity to progress into a Workshop Supervisor role.
