McNaughts Transport is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) to join our workshop team in Finley or Dubbo. The role includes a rotating roster between Finley and Dubbo, focusing on diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep a diverse fleet operational.

We welcome visa sponsorship (Subclass 482) for qualified candidates and require a current license with a commitment to safety, audits, and quality workmanship in a modern workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy diesel mechanics, preferably in road transport.
• Qualifications in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
• Experience with NHVR standards and bulk freight equipment is desirable.
• Proficiency in diagnostic software and familiarity with petrol/diesel engines.

Responsabilités

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and logbook servicing for engines, transmissions, and braking systems in line with OEM guidelines.
• Utilise advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, and emission control systems.
• Rebuild major components and perform fabrication work as needed.
• Ensure full compliance with NHVR standards and maintain detailed records for audits.
• Adhere to strict workshop safety protocols and manage work orders through fleet management software.
• Provide roadside assistance and support driver training on vehicle checks and defect reporting.

Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles)

McNaughts Transport is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) to join our workshop team, based in either our Finley or Dubbo location. Please note that Finley-based roles will include a rotating roster to our Dubbo workshop. This role is critical to ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our fleet, which includes prime movers, trailers, and bulk freight equipment. You will focus on complex diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure adherence to all NHVR, CoR, and WHS regulations. Visa sponsorship (Subclass 482) is available for suitably qualified candidates, with preference given to those who currently hold a valid visa within Australia.
