Job summary

Micway Transport is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with hands-on Volvo truck experience to join our Arndell Park maintenance workshop. This is a permanent, full-time day shift: Monday to Friday 7:00am – 3:00pm with rotating Saturday OT.

You will service, maintain and repair our refrigerated fleet to keep it performing and NHVR compliant, including Volvo Prime Movers, refrigerated rigids and trailers.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working on Volvo trucks.
• Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills using Volvo software.
• Hands-on experience with engines, clutches, differentials and driveline.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair Micway’s refrigerated fleet.
• Ensure NHVR compliance and fleet readiness.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment.

Micway Transport is a proudly family-owned refrigerated transport company with over 25 years in the industry, a modern fleet, and a workshop team that works hard, supports each other and gets the job done right.

We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with hands-on Volvo truck experience to join our maintenance workshop in Arndell Park.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time day shift position:

Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm - Rotating Saturday OT is also available

You’ll service, maintain and repair Micway’s refrigerated fleet to keep it performing and NHVR compliant.

The fleet includes:

• Volvo Prime Movers
• Refrigerated Rigids
• Refrigerated Trailers
• Anteo Tailgates

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong experience working on Volvo trucks
• Confidence with major component repairs, such as engines, I-Shift transmissions, clutches, differentials and driveline
• Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills, including Volvo diagnostic software
• A thorough, quality-first approach to every job

Refrigeration and tailgate experience isn’t essential. We’ll train the right person on our refrigeration units and Anteo tailgates. What we can’t teach on the job is solid Volvo experience, and that’s what matters most to us

Requirements

• Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Tradepersons qualification
• Heavy Vehicle drivers' licence (desirable)
• Volvo truck experience (highly advantageous)
• National Police Check, issued within the last 3 months
• Current RMS Driving History

Micway operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, closing only on Christmas Day and Good Friday. Block-out periods apply during NSW holiday seasons, and these will apply to all successful candidates for 2026/2027.
