Job summary

Rashi Joshi's workshop in Wingfield, Australia, is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on a range of trucks. This temporary role offers a path to permanency pending performance and a supportive team in a well-equipped facility.

You will handle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault-finding, maintain accurate records, and work primarily on the afternoon shift with strict safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Australian trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic (Cert III) with 1+ years Australian experience on relevant trucks.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work across a 5 day work week with potential rotating shifts.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
• HR or MC Licence is highly regarded but not essential.
• Ability to meet D&A screening and pass a pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet compliance and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, job cards and work orders.
• Work independently with minimal supervision during the afternoon shift.
• Uphold workshop safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
