Job summary

Coolway Trans is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our PM shift team and service a modern refrigerated fleet, including rigid trucks, trailers, dollies and prime movers.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs, with an immediate start and a Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends). Prior refrigerated fleet experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Relevant heavy vehicle diesel mechanic qualification or 4th year apprentice progression.
• Experience in refrigerated fleets is highly regarded.
• HR/HC licences provide an advantage in job duties.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing the refrigerated fleet (rigid trucks, trailers, dollies, prime movers).
• Steering and suspension repairs and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Offsite and breakdown repairs as needed.

About the Role:

As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic at Coolway Trans, you will work as part of our PM shift team, playing a crucial role in servicing and repairing our fleet of refrigerated vehicles, including rigid trucks, trailers, dollies, and prime movers.

• Steering and Suspension repairs
• Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
• Preventative maintenance and repairs
• Scheduled truck & trailer servicing
• Removing and fitting tyres
• Offsite and breakdown repairs
• Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic qualifications or Minimum 4th year apprentice
• Previous experience working with refrigerated fleets desirable

What you'll bring
