Booth Transport Pty Ltd is opening a brand-new workshop in Gracemere and seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic. You will repair, service and test company vehicles, trailers and equipment per the service schedule, perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance, and attend breakdowns as required to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, a car licence (heavy vehicle licence advantageous), and hands-on experience with gearboxes, repairs and

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Heavy vehicle licence is advantageous.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults.
• Gearbox, general repair and servicing experience.
• Roadside breakdown experience.
• Understanding NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian truck safety standards.
• Willingness to undertake general repairs within depot and wash bays.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Reliable, motivated, team-oriented approach and strong work ethic.
• Medical fitness and willingness for pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.

Booth Transport, a national transport company, has just opened a brand-new workshop in Gracemere, and we’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Repairs, servicing and testing of company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per the company service schedule

Diagnostic and preventative maintenance, including improvement initiatives

Attending breakdowns where required

To be successful, you will have:

A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic

A car licence as a minimum (heavy vehicle licence advantageous)

Experience diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults

Gearbox, general repair and servicing experience

Roadside breakdown experience

An understanding of NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian truck safety standards

A willingness to undertake general repairs within the depot and wash bays

The ability to meet strict deadlines

A reliable, motivated, team-oriented approach and a strong work ethic

Medical fitness and willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

What we offer:

$ per hour plus penalty rates, above award

$1,000 sign-on bonus, paid on completion of your 6-month probation
