Job summary

Booth Transport Pty Ltd is opening a brand-new workshop in Gracemere and seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic. You will repair, service and test company vehicles, trailers and equipment per the service schedule, perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance, and attend breakdowns as required to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, a car licence (heavy vehicle licence advantageous), and hands-on experience with gearboxes, repairs and

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Heavy vehicle licence is advantageous.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults.
• Gearbox, general repair and servicing experience.
• Roadside breakdown experience.
• Understanding NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian truck safety standards.
• Willingness to undertake general repairs within depot and wash bays.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Reliable, motivated, team-oriented approach and strong work ethic.
• Medical fitness and willingness for pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, servicing and testing of company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per the company service schedule
