EMECO is seeking an experienced Heavy Road Transport Technician to join our team at Olympic Dam, South Australia. The successful candidate will ensure the fleet of Scania R620 road trains and belly dump trailers operates safely and reliably.

Applicants should have significant hands-on experience with these vehicles. This full-time role offers a favorable 2:2 roster, fortnightly pay, and benefits including flights, accommodation, and meals.

We're on the hunt for an experienced Heavy Road Transport Technician to join our team at Olympic Dam, South Australia, keeping our fleet of Scania R620 road trains and belly dump trailers running safely, reliably and without unnecessary drama.

And we're going to be straight up, we're looking for someone who has spent plenty of time under, around and inside these trucks and trailers and know their way around them.

• $146,000 - $174,000 per year (based on experience)
• Full-time and casual options available
• 2:2 Roster - 7 days, 7 nights, then 14 glorious days off

What You'll Be Working On

Your bread and butter will be our Scania R620 road trains and belly dump trailers.

We need someone who has proven experience working on:

• Road train combinations
• Belly dump trailers
• Heavy vehicle driveline and braking systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Preventative maintenance and major repairs

You'll also get your hands dirty across a range of diverse fleet, including:

• CAT 992K/G Loaders
• CAT 14M & 16M Graders

What We're Looking For

The big one: Significant hands on experience working on Scania R620 road trains and belly dump trailers.

Along with:

• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Proven heavy vehicle maintenance experience
• Solid mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge
• Heavy haulage or mining experience highly regarded
• Pride in your workmanship because "she'll be right" isn't a maintenance strategy
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol Screen and Police Check
