Job summary
Glencore Australia at Hail Creek is seeking a Maintainer Mechanical (HME Breakdown Fitter) to maintain the heavy mobile equipment fleet, ensuring reliability, availability and performance to support production targets.
You will diagnose mechanical faults, perform preventative and breakdown maintenance across haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders and loaders, and work with fitters, auto electricians, electricians and boilermakers.
Qualifications
- A recognised Diesel Fitting Trade Qualification
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment within a mining or heavy industry environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude, fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with sound knowledge of hydraulic and diesel systems
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and maintenance
Responsibilities
- Maintain reliability, availability and performance of heavy mobile equipment fleet.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, carry out repairs and conduct inspections across equipment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimise downtime and follow safety procedures.
