Job summary

Hazeldenes, an established Australian poultry producer, is seeking a Hatchery Driver to join Bendigo operations. The role centers on safe egg collection from breeder farms and delivering Day-old chicks to broiler farms, with a strong emphasis on safety and animal welfare.

You’ll work in a dynamic, locally-based team across farming, production and logistics, following road safety rules, maintaining clean trucks, and ensuring accurate record keeping and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Loading eggs from trolleys onto truck at farm – unloading eggs at hatchery.
• Loading and unloading of Day-old chicks from company vehicles on farm.
• Ensure the inside of trucks are kept clean & tidy.
• Follow road rules and drive in a safe manner at all times
• Follow basic fatigue management guidelines.
• Ensure all licence requirements are kept valid.
• Safe unloading of Eggs and chicks from the truck.
• Ensure pallet transfer or exchange is completed and monitor numbers.
• Ensure animal welfare.
• Accurate record keeping.
• Timely delivery.
• Notify damages or threats immediately.
