Job summary

Pepe's Ducks is seeking a dedicated Hatchery Transport Operator to join our Mulgrave team. The role focuses on safe, timely transport of eggs and day-old ducklings between the hatchery and farms, with strong emphasis on welfare and biosecurity.

The position operates on a rotating 7-day roster, four days per week, with early starts from 5:00am to 9:00am. A current HR manual licence is required, and long-distance drives to Harden may be needed.

Qualifications

• Current HR licence with a strong and safe driving record (manual).
• Experience transporting live animals is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport day-old ducklings and eggs between the hatchery and farms, ensuring welfare standards.
• Assist in basic upkeep of transport vehicle cleanliness.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, managers, and farm personnel.
• Contribute to biosecurity practices and compliance with Pepe's Ducks safety system.
• Follow WHS policies and participate in QA programs.
