Darwalla Hatchery in Allora is hiring for a full-time position at our state-of-the-art chick hatchery. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training; starting pay is $30.61 per hour with 4 x 9.5-hour days, starting at 5:30am, finishing early afternoon and three days off weekly.

Weekend work may be required. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and able to work safely in a busy poultry environment.

About The Position

Darwalla is on the lookout for motivated team members to join our state-of-the-art chicken Hatchery in Allora, conveniently situated between Toowoomba and Warwick.

Successful candidates will engage in various tasks, including egg setting and transfer, chick take-off and processing, and various cleaning duties.

The role demands physical strength, fitness, and good health.

You'll need to undergo a health check before getting a job offer to make sure you can handle the job requirements.

Bio-Security And Standards

Due to strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards in the poultry industry, all employees are restricted from keeping pet birds, poultry and pigs and residing with others who work at other poultry or involved with pig farming/hunting. The Hatchery follows a shower-in, shower-out protocol.
