Job summary

Cummins Australia is seeking a Workshop Diesel Mechanic to join our Heavy Vehicle repairs team at the Pooraka branch. You will deliver a first-class service to customers across automotive, high horsepower, on-highway and power generation product applications, performing repairs and maintenance on heavy diesel engines.

The role requires Australian recognised trade certificate, experience in heavy diesel, and solid diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle).
• Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred).
• Service and maintenance experience in heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines, including engine overhauls and major repairs.
• Solid diagnostic capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class service across automotive, high horsepower, on-highway and power generation products.
• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines.
• Inspect and replace worn components as required.
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
• Maintain safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Complete documentation via worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims and system inputs.
