Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to service and repair Mobile Plant & Trucks in a workshop and on-site capacity at our Wetherill Park location. This permanent role features a Monday–Friday daytime roster and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

You will work with a team to service brand equipment and diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults, ensuring downtime is minimized and equipment remains in top condition for project sites.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic).
• 3+ years experience working on Mobile Plant Equipment & Trucks
• Current Driver’s Licence – Essential
• Minimum HC License + Road Ranger – Essential
• Preferrable Electrical exposure

Responsibilities

• Service, inspect, and repair a range of Mobile Plant & Trucks
• Brands - Kenworth, Bobcat, Hitachi, Hyundai & CAT
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Respond to field breakdowns and emergency call-outs as needed
• Work with the service team to plan jobs and order parts
• Ensure all repairs meet compliance, safety, and OEM standards

up to $65ph ($135,200 Basic Salary) + Super + Overtime 1.5 rising to double time

Join a leading national Plant & Civil company supplying construction, and civil projects. We’re on the hunt for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair Mobile Plant & Trucks.
You'll be responsible for servicing and repairs in the workshop and out on-site, keeping downtime to a minimum and ensuring equipment is compliant, safe, and ready to go.
