Wagga Trucks is offering multiple first-year heavy diesel mechanic apprenticeships at our Queanbeyan branch. You’ll work in a busy service team, learn routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and record-keeping while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Ideal candidates have a current drivers licence and a strong, reliable work ethic. Immediate start available with paid training and modern facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Get hands-on in the workshop and see your skills grow as you work alongside our mechanics and senior technicians. You’ll tackle a variety of practical tasks, including:
• Build your skills in routine heavy vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Work alongside mechanics to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and other faults
• Get to know heavy vehicles inside and out as you help carry out comprehensive inspections
• Learn to keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance performed and parts used
• Assist senior technicians and put your learning into practice
• Care for the tools and equipment that help you get the job done
• Help keep the workshop clean and organised
• Pitch in with day-to-day workshop tasks as part of the service team
