Absolute Diesel Services in Maryborough QLD is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to join our busy workshop. You’ll service, diagnose and repair heavy vehicles, trucks and equipment across a broad range of gear.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience working with heavy vehicles, trucks, machinery or industrial equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Current driver's licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and high workmanship.
• Good communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles and machinery.
• Mechanical fault finding and diagnostics.
• Engine and drivetrain repairs.
• Brake, steering and suspension repairs.
• Hydraulic and electrical fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Workshop and field service work.
• Completing job documentation accurately.
• Work with the service team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

About the Role

As part of our workshop team, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles and machinery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or equivalent

• Experience working with heavy vehicles, trucks, machinery or industrial equipment

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge

• A current driver's licence

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A strong commitment to workplace safety

• Good communication skills

• Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail

• A reliable, positive and practical attitude

Additional licences and experience with hydraulics, auto electrical, cranes or specialised equipment will be highly regarded.
