Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience maintaining heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, trucks, or similar assets.
• Strong diagnostic ability with confident troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for maintenance outcomes.
• Reliable work approach with flexibility during busy agricultural seasons.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work in a regional farming environment in New South Wales.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of preventative maintenance programs across a modern agricultural machinery fleet.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair tractors, harvesters, sprayers, trucks, and support equipment.
• Complete mechanical fault finding and provide effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Carry out scheduled servicing, component replacements, and machinery upgrades.
• Respond to urgent field breakdowns and complete mobile repairs during peak farming periods.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment service history.
• Manage workshop organization, tools, parts inventory, and repairs systems.
• Work closely with farm operators and management to improve machinery performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members when required.
• Assist with maintaining high safety and operational standards across the farming operation.
