Job summary

IM Partners, on behalf of Jurkovic Group, is seeking a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Adelaide, SA. You will service and repair heavy trucks and mobile plant, diagnose faults, and perform scheduled servicing.

This permanent full-time role offers day or afternoon shifts, with loading for afternoon shifts, plus an in-house workshop, uniforms and PPE provided. MR/HR licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter.
• Experience on trucks, earthmoving plant or similar heavy equipment.
• Able to diagnose and repair without being walked through it.
• MR or HR licence an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairs and fault finding on heavy trucks (tippers, hook lift and skip trucks) and mobile plant (excavators, loaders and dozers).
• Engines, driveline, cooling, steering, braking and hydraulic systems.
• Scheduled servicing, pre start defects and breakdown repairs.
• Getting to the real cause of recurring faults rather than patching them.

Job description

IM Partners is recruiting on behalf of Jurkovic Group, a 100% South Australian owned group that has been operating for over 60 years. The group includes Adelaide Resource Recovery, Royal Park Salvage, Allied Waste and Jurkovic Cranes, and its in house maintenance team keeps a large fleet of trucks, earthmoving plant and processing equipment running from a fully equipped workshop at Wingfield.

• $55 to $60 per hour plus super, overtime at penalty rates
• Day or afternoon shift with loadings, no FIFO
• Trucks, earthmoving plant and processing equipment

The work

• Servicing, repairs and fault finding on heavy trucks (tippers, hook lift and skip trucks) and mobile plant (excavators, loaders and dozers)

What is on offer

• $55 to $60 per hour plus super ($108k to $118k base) depending on experience
• Permanent full time position with an immediate start available
• Day shift or afternoon shift, with shift loading paid on afternoons
• Overtime available at penalty rates
• Fully equipped in house workshop, uniform and PPE provided
• Long established SA owned business with a full workload and no FIFO
