Job summary

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Space and Asset Officer to manage the Trust's property portfolio and related matters, including landlord and tenant negotiations, rent reviews, leases, acquisitions and disposals, and service charge management.

You will identify fit-for-purpose premises for healthcare teams, conduct site inspections, support strategic initiatives with the Associate Director of Health Planning and Property, and oversee leases, licences, and related contracts to

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational property advice across the property portfolio to the Associate Director for Health Planning and Property and services as necessary.
To undertake and assist colleagues with other planned strategic initiatives as instructed by the Associate Director of Health Planning and Property.
To negotiate new leases, lease renewals, reinstatement of premises, dilapidations, licences, rent reviews, wayleaves, easements.
To undertake site searches and manage acquisition and disposal cases. Responsible for lease events and ensure other related transactions are executed and completed on time and to meet the needs of the Trust’s service provisions.
To achieve the best outcome for the Trust and protect the Trust’s interests through effective communication, negotiation, completion of due diligence and more.
