Job summary

Evolution Mining at Cowal Operations is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to influence safe behaviours and strengthen risk management across open pit, underground and processing operations.

Based at Cowal and reporting to the Senior Advisor – Health and Safety, you will lead incident investigations, audits and training, and deliver safety initiatives with flexible rosters. Relocation support and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Work Health and Safety or higher qualification.
• At least five years health and safety experience within mining or a comparable high risk industry.
• Strong capability in risk management, auditing and ICAM incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing practical health and safety systems, procedures and standards.
• The ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of an operation.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to creating safer workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Influence a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and practical support across site.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify, manage and reduce critical health and safety risks.
• Lead incident investigations, audits and risk assessments that drive continuous improvement and compliance.
• Deliver safety initiatives, training and coaching that build capability and support safe, sustainable operational performance.
