At A2B Australia, we're transforming the way Australians move through our brands including 13cabs. We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to lead and strengthen our health, safety and wellbeing framework across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence how safety, wellbeing and injury management are embedded across a national organisation. Working closely with People & Culture, operational leaders and the broader CDC Australia HSEQ network, you'll provide strategic direction and practical support to ensure our people work in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, implement and continually improve health, safety and wellbeing programs, policies and procedures across the business.
  • Partner with CDC Australia's HSEQ leadership team to implement group requirements and contribute to national initiatives.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by working closely with leaders and employees to strengthen risk awareness and accountability.
  • Provide expert guidance on health and safety risk management, wellbeing and injury management matters.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate the delivery of health, safety and wellbeing learning initiatives.
  • Lead or support investigations into workplace incidents, injuries and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate audits, assurance activities and action plans to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reporting and data integrity across all HSW activities.
  • Deliver meaningful safety performance insights, risk reporting and recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Develop and promote wellbeing initiatives that support the physical, mental and psychological wellbeing of employees.
  • Manage workplace injury cases with a focus on early intervention, recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Work closely with employees, leaders, insurers and healthcare providers to coordinate return-to-work plans and ongoing recovery support.

About You

You're a pragmatic and influential health and safety professional who combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to supporting people and creating safer workplaces.

You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Management, Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • Accreditation as a Return to Work Coordinator.
  • 3-5 years' experience operating at a WHS Manager level, ideally within a diverse service environment.
  • Strong experience in injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work programs.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, workers compensation requirements and relevant codes of practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and embed safety culture initiatives and behaviour-based safety approaches.
  • Experience working across both corporate and operational environments.
  • Highly developed reporting, investigation and risk management capabilities.
  • A qualification in Workplace Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Takes a practical and commercially sensible approach to problem solving.
  • Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Builds trusted relationships through authenticity, fairness and integrity.
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Can influence and engage others to achieve positive safety outcomes.
  • Brings resilience, adaptability and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrates empathy and balances business outcomes with employee wellbeing.
  • Works collaboratively and enjoys partnering with leaders and teams across the organisation.

Why Join A2B

  • Be part of a nationally recognised organisation backed by the strength of the CDC Australia Group.
  • Play a key role in shaping the safety, wellbeing and injury management strategy for a diverse workforce.
  • Influence meaningful change and help create safer, healthier workplaces across multiple locations.
  • Work alongside engaged leaders and stakeholders who value collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to an organisation that supports innovation, inclusion, wellbeing and professional growth.
  • Make a direct impact on the experience, safety and wellbeing of employees across the business.
