Job summary

Coonamble Aboriginal Health Service – Dubbo NSW is seeking a Health Promotions Officer trainee to support the health promotions team in delivering education projects. The role combines on-the-job training with formal study to gain a Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.

Note: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identified position. Successful candidates must meet pre-employment checks including WWCC and police checks.

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (mandatory).
• Willing to undertake a Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
• Willing to travel outside normal hours and undertake weekend work as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Regional Health Promotions Manager.
• Assist in delivery of health promotion and education projects in the community.
