Emmanuel Christian Community School in Wanneroo, WA is seeking an innovative Christian teacher to deliver Health and Physical Education on a part-time, fixed-term basis commencing Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop physical skills and healthy, active lifestyles while aligning with Christian education’s vision and mission.

The role includes delivering PE programs to secondary students, planning and reporting, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience teaching Health and Physical Education (and Volleyball) across Years 7–12, including ATAR courses.
• Ability to design engaging learning experiences that foster confident, independent learners.
• Strong ICT skills and ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• MR driver’s licence.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging Health and Physical Education programs to Secondary students.
• Plan, assess and report on student learning in line with the Western Australian Curriculum and senior secondary requirements.
• Collaborate with the Learning Area Coordinator and teaching team to develop high-quality programs and consistent assessment practices.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Encourage student participation, teamwork and healthy, active lifestyles.

About The School

Applications are invited from innovative, enthusiastic and committed Christian teachers qualified to teach Health and Physical Education. This is a part‑time, fixed‑term position commencing Term 1, 2027, covering a period of extended leave during the 2027 school year.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging, high-quality Health and Physical Education programs that inspire students to develop their physical skills, knowledge, confidence and understanding of healthy, active lifestyles.

Selection Criteria(maximum two pages in total)

• Relevant experience and demonstrated ability to teach Physical Education, General Health Studies and Volleyball across Years 7–12, including ATAR courses.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging learning experiences that support students to become confident, independent and resilient learners.
• Strong ICT skills and the ability to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• An MR driver’s licence.
