Job summary

CPB Contractors Pty Limited, in joint venture with UGL, is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to champion a safety-first culture on a large data centre build in Truganina, Melbourne. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of the HSEQ framework.

You will partner with leaders, ensure legal compliance, oversee audits and incident investigations, and mentor a team of health and safety professionals while driving wellbeing initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a health and safety role.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices.
• Ability to influence and engage across levels.
• Experience managing risk, compliance and SMS.
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Lead workplace safety programs, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
• Manage incident investigations and drive corrective actions.

CPB Contractors in joint venture with UGL and supported by EIC, fellow CIMIC Group companies, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more.

Being an integrated member of the ACS company group, we will leverage and empower this build by drawing on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW buildings featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works.
