Job summary

Anglicare Central Queensland Limited | Emerald seeks a Youth Access Worker to be a frontline contact for young people using headspace Emerald. You will conduct initial psychosocial assessments and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to guide young people toward appropriate care and support.

Are youready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We'reon the lookout for a Youth Access Worker to become a vital part ofour dedicated headspace Emerald team.

As thefirst point of contact for young people accessing our services,you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming, supportiveenvironment. You'll conduct initial psychosocial assessments,collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, and help guide eachyoung person towards care and support they need.

Whatwill a typical day look like?

  • Deliver evidencebased brief interventions, including group interventions andproblem solving with young people and theirfamilies.
  • Provide aninclusive practice that values the significance of family andfriends.
  • Attend andcontribute to regular Care Coordination ReviewMeetings.
  • Assist and provideappropriate and timely referrals for a range of treatments andservices offered by headspace Emerald’s partners, PrivatePractitioners, and other key agencies.
MandatoryRequirements:
  • Diploma in SocialWork, Mental Health, Psychology, Occupational Therapy orrelevant.
