Job summary

Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne is seeking a proven leader to head Workplace Relations and Wellbeing Services. Reporting to the General Manager, Products and Services, you will provide people and operational leadership for the team and drive governance and continuous improvement.

You will translate strategic priorities into practical plans, manage partnerships, develop evidence-based policy positions, and build strong relationships with government, regulators and members.

Qualifications

• Substantial people leadership and operational management experience within professional services or advisory.
• Strong knowledge of workplace relations and workplace safety policy, with a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Experience developing policy positions, submissions or advocacy materials.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen with project, program or partnership management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and the credibility to work with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Highly developed written communication, judgement and governance capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Oversee workforce planning, operational priorities, resources and continuous improvement.
• Lead strategic projects, programs and key partnerships.
• Support delivery of portfolio strategy, commercial priorities and growth.
• Lead business planning, performance reporting, governance and risk management.
• Develop and coordinate workplace relations and safety policy positions and advocacy initiatives.
